Carol and I have recently began marketing our listings with a new text messaging service. An addition to our signs is a topper that reads “For instant text message of information and photos, Text Green to 88000″. Each listing has a different message and within about 10 seconds, the potential buyer gets a message back with general information about the listing. From their phone they can click on a link which goes to a mobile website that contains photos, a flyer and detailed information about the listing. We hope that this will eliminate the need for flyers in the flyer box which usually get folded up and eventually thrown away. Try it for yourself, text “green” to 88000 to find out more about our new subdivision in Grant Park. You can also text “green1” to find out about Lot 1.
I’m curious to know what people think about this. I think it’s pretty awesome but can it replace a piece of paper?
