Grant Park Photo Hunt

March 12, 2009

Grant Park

Today I went to Grant Park and went on a “photo hunt” provided by the Grant Park Conservancy in conjunction with the Phoenix Files, A Citywide Celebration of Landmark Architecture and Landscapes.  Beginning March 7, organizations across the city join together in offering special tours and events.  Visit http://www.preserveatlanta.com for a full schedule of lcoations and activities.   Well, I was the only one that showed up so I got a personal golf cart style tour from the Conservancy Director, Philip Cuthbertson.  He is a wealth of knowledge and gave me an unbelievable tour and history lesson of Grant Park, Atlanta’s first park or “resort” as they were originally referred to back in 1883.  I took some pictures and will also upload them onto the conservancy’s facebook page.  What a great way to learn about Grant Park and the City of Atlanta.  Definitely check out their website www.gpconservancy.org and www.preserveatlanta.org.   Our EarthCraft House development, “Grant Park Place” is just across the street and will hopefully break ground on the first house in about 30 days.
